Our Purpose
Bundjalam Aboriginal Corporation is locally designed not-for-profit service provider, delivering family preservation support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families within the Tweed Heads to Byron Bay region.
Bundjalam's service delivery is culturally grounded and guided by local Lore and our connection to Country, culture and community.
We understand not everyone living in the area is local and this may contribute to fractured cultural identity, family crisis or sadness.
Our "Janabee Nyubani" (family/coming together) programs are provided through case management, mentoring, psychosocial education and referral pathways. These interventions are designed to enhance the skills of parents or primary care giver to meet the needs of their family without becoming service reliant.
Bundjalam being locally operated provides a unique opportunity by inviting all families to learn how local mob care for Country, connect with culture and come together in community, with the aim to further strengthen their connections to the area.
* Bundjalam is open to partnerships with organisations that have the same vision to create programs that are locally designed and led based on our community needs. Opportunities of interest are but not limited to, youth specific, alcohol & other drug, harm reduction, community wellbeing and cultural programs & Targeted Early intervention.
